Netscape 6.0 Mail

To receive mail online with Cyberonic using your Netscape version 6.0, follow these instructions. These are simple instructions that will work with most, but not all, Netscape 6.0.

How to Set Up Netscape Mail 6.0 using Cyberonic connection.

  1. From the Tasks menu, choose Mail.
  2. From the Edit menu, choose Mail/News Account Settings.
  3. Select Outgoing (SMTP) Server in the list.
  4. In the Server Name field, type mail.cyberonic.com
  5. Click the OK button.
  6. Click the New Account button.
  7. Click the radio button in the ISP or email provider area. Then click Next button
  8. In the Your Name field, type your full name.
  9. In the Email Address field, type your email address. Then click Next.
  10. Click the down arrow on the Server Type drop-down list and choose POP Mail Server.
  11. In the Server Name field, type mail.cyberonic.com. Then click Next button.
  12. In the User Name field, type your email address. Then click Next button.
  13. In the Account Name field, type a name to identify the mail account. Click the Next button.
  14. Click the Finish button.
  15. Select the old OneMain IMAP account in the list.
  16. Click the Delete button.
  17. Then click OK button.
  18. Select The new POP OneMain account in the list.
  19. Click the Set as Default button.
  20. Congratulation have successfully configured a POP account and deleted the IMAP account.

How to Configure Netscape Mail 6.0 for OneMain using Cyberonic connection:

  1. Open your “Netscape 6.0” icon.
  2. From the “Tasks” menu, choose “Mail
  3. Select “ISP or email provider” then click NEXT button.
  4. In the “Your Name” field, type your full name.
  5. In the “Email Address” field, type your email address. (ie. johndo@cyberonic.com) then click Next.
  6. Click the down arrow on the “Server Type” drop-down list and choose “POP Mail Server“.
  7. In the “Server Name” field in the “Incoming Server” area, type “mail.cyberonic.com“.
  8. In the “Server Name” field in the “Outgoing (SMTP) Server” area, type “mail.cyberonic.com” then click NEXT button.
  9. In the “User Name” field, type your email address (ie. johnsmith) then click the Next button.
  10. In the “Account Name” field, type a name of identify the mail account, then click Next.
  11. Then click “Finish“.

Now your Dial-Up Access connection should be configured properly. Try again to connect. If necessary, follow the above instructions for connecting for the first time to Cyberonic Online.
